CONTROVERSY
On the 16th of February 2023, Mumbai police arrested Sapna Gill and Sobhit Thakur after they allegedly attacked the car of cricketer Prithvi Shaw outside a luxury hotel in Santacruz. The incident stated when the duo, who are fans of Shaw, approached him for selfies and refused to back off
Even after a few pictures. In response, the cricketer called his friend and the hotel manager to have them removed from the place. After being kicked out, the duo waited outside for Prithvi and were joined by a some others who were armed with baseball bats. When Shaw drove off from the hotel, they follow the vehicle, caught up with him at a traffic signal near Oshiwara, and broke the windshield. They even threatened to file a false police report if Prithvi did not pay them Rs 50, 000.
