Trishaan Singh Maini is a Delhi-born Indian actor who was born on January 1, 1987. Janakpuri is where I grew up.
Hailing from a family of two siblings, an older brother and a younger sister, Trishaan set out in search of his destiny to the city of dreams Mumbai in 2011 where he explored the modelling scene for 5 years before setting his sights on Bollywood, despite his parents’ opposition to his decision to quit a corporate job to fulfil his inner calling to glamour art and acting.
EDUCATION
Trishaan attended the Holy Public School in Delhi. He received his bachelor’s degree in commerce and began working in the corporate sector.
CAREER
To sustain himself in Bombay, he worked with local designers in universities. While his compensation was enough, there were times when he was unable to purchase food or pay his rent. And throughout those dark times, he had no idea where his career was going. Yet Trishaan had trust in his talents and understood this was simply a passing phase.”
It was in Bombay, under the tutelage of Talent Groomer, Fashion Show Director, and Image Stylist Lovell Prabhu, that he learned how to walk the fine line and distinguish between an average model and a comprehensive professional. “Lovell offered me employment that let me clear my debts, and he coached me on how to carry the appropriate attitude that was vital to attracting the attention of designers,” Trishaan says. As a beginner, I realised that knowledge in fashion was the key to understanding the world of modelling, so I did my research and went prepared with information about the designer before taking on any assignment.”
Trishaan walked the runway at many fashion weeks, including the well-known Blender’s Pride Punjab International Fashion Week, Kingfisher Ultra Hyderabad International Fashion Week, Kingfisher Ultra Jaipur International Fashion Week, and Kingfisher Ultra Kochi International Fashion Week, to name a few. In 2012, he made his Lakme Fashion Week debut for designer Archana Kochhar. Trishaan, noted for his flexibility as a model who did credit to the outfit he was wearing, had a successful run on the Indian Runway, where he walked for various Local and international designers. Lady luck smiled on him when he landed his big break with Manish Malhotra, who was quickly followed by Tarun Tahiliani and JJ Valaya, among others.
