Kareema Barry, an Indian social media influencer and TV personality, has gained recognition for her comedic videos on Instagram as well as her appearances on Indian TV shows. She notably starred in “Masaba Masaba” (2020) and “Girls Hostel” (2021).

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Born on October 24, 1997, in Kolkata, India and falls under the zodiac sign Scorpio.   Kareema’s father, Khurram Barry, and her mother, Kauser Barry, raised her alongside her elder sister, Khushboo Barry. Additionally, Kareema’s family has a Parsi heritage, but she herself identifies as a Muslim, as revealed in an interview. When the pandemic began in 2020, Kareema relocated to her sister’s house in Delhi, carrying only four sets of clothes and her sharp sense of humor.

EDUCATION

Kareema Barry completed her schooling at Welland Gouldsmith School in Kolkata, where she actively participated in public speaking and debating clubs. During her time in school, she even held the position of president in the public speaking club. It was during this period that Kareema discovered her passion for playing characters and experimenting with voice modulation. Afterward, Kareema pursued a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature at Hindu College, DU. She further honed her skills by engaging in debates.

CAREER

Kareema gained significant attention after responding to an Instagram challenge involving funny picture posts. She uploaded numerous humorous videos, which attracted a large following of admirers. Since then, she has consistently shared entertaining content on social media platforms. Kareema has collaborated with several other social media influencers, including Sakshi Shivdasani, Tarini Shah, Srishti Dixit (also known as Srishti Patch), Archit Meher, Dolly Singh, and Kusha Kapila. Notably, in September 2021, she starred in the music video for Ashwin Adwani’s song titled “Jugnoo.”

In 2022, Kareema made her debut on the OTT platform with the critically acclaimed web series “Masaba Masaba” (season 2), where she portrayed the character of Qayanaat, an edgy influencer-turned-designer. She also appeared as Hot Messs in the popular series “Girls Hostel” (season 3) during the same year.
