Rahul Bajoria currently holds the position of Head of EM Asia (excluding China) Economics Research at Barclays Corporate & Investment Bank, where he has accumulated an impressive 15 years and 9 months of experience. As a Managing Director and Senior Regional Economist for the Asia Pacific region, he has been with Barclays Investment Bank since January 2008, where his expertise in economics research has been a valuable asset.
EDUCATION
Rahul Bajoria’s educational journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous) in Kolkata, spanning from 2003 to 2006. His earlier education includes his time at La Martiniere for Boys in Kolkata, where he honed the foundation for his academic and professional career.
CAREER
In addition to his role at Barclays, Mr. Bajoria has also served as the Chief Economist for India and the Antipodes since September 2019, contributing to the economic analysis and insights in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
Earlier in his career, he gained research experience as a Research Assistant at INSEAD from December 2007 to August 2008, where he focused on financial development and industry productivity. He also served as a Research Assistant at the National University of Singapore from May 2007 to December 2007 while pursuing his Master’s degree in Economics at the same institution, which he completed in 2008.
