Currently serving as the Co-Founder and CEO of Porter since August 2023, he has dedicated nine years and seven months of his professional journey to this venture, based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, and operating on-site.
EDUCATION
Uttam Digga’s educational background is as impressive as his professional journey. He holds an Integrated M.Sc. in Economics from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, where he was actively involved in various activities and societies, including the Case Study Team, Hockey Team, Swimming, Waterpolo, and Ad Design Team. Additionally, he earned the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification and specialized in Financial Planning and Services through the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) from 2010 to 2012, showcasing his commitment to excellence.
CAREER
Uttam’s journey towards entrepreneurship began when he co-founded Porter as the Co-Founder and COO in March 2014, where he played a pivotal role in its growth for nine years and six months until August 2023. Prior to his entrepreneurial endeavors, he gained valuable experience as an Analyst at J.P. Morgan for one year and six months from February 2013 to July 2014 and as an Analyst at HSBC for eight months from July 2012 to February 2013, both in Bengaluru, India.
His career kicked off as an Intern at Dvara Holdings in Chennai, India, from May 2011 to August 2011, where he made significant contributions in the development of the asset liability management framework, utilizing duration gap analysis and liquidity analysis. Further enriching his experience, he interned at ICRISAT-Mali in Hyderabad, India, from May 2010 to July 2010, focusing on value chain analysis.
