PERSONAL INFORMATION

Born in 1953, he is the son of Gaur Hari Singhania, while his mother’s name remains undisclosed. According to records from JK Temple Kanpur, Vinodi Das Singhania departed from his hometown of Singhania, a small town in the Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan, in 1775. He relocated to a town near Kanpur and had two sons named Ramsukhdas and Sarbsukhdas. Details about his zodiac sign and hobbies are not available.

EDUCATION

Mr. Singhania graduated with a B.Tech in Civil Engineering from IIT Kanpur in 1977.

CAREER

In 1984, Mr. Yadupati Singhania pioneered the establishment of a white cement plant using limestone through a dry process, marking a historic global milestone. By 1987, J.K. White Cement achieved another first by implementing a fuzzy logic system to automate kiln operations, a pioneering achievement worldwide. Today, J.K. Cement has evolved into a multinational cement manufacturer, operating five plants in Rajasthan and Karnataka, boasting a collective grey cement capacity of 10 MnTPA and a white cement capacity of 0.60 MnTPA. The company additionally maintains a robust captive power generation capacity exceeding 100 MW spread across its facilities. In 2014, J.K. Cement expanded its manufacturing footprint to Fujairah, UAE, with a dual-process plant producing both grey and white cement. Presently, J.K. Cement Ltd stands as the second largest global producer of white cement.

In addition to his significant role at J.K. Cement, Mr. Singhania has maintained close ties with numerous professional and social organizations, including the Kanpur Productivity Council, National Council for Cement and Building Materials, Cement Manufacturers Association, Rotary Club, Environmental Protection and Productivity Trust, and the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association in Kanpur, among others. His dedication to advancing education across India is evident through his deep involvement with institutions such as the Lala Kamlapat Singhania Education Centre in Gotan, Sir Padampat Singhania University in Udaipur, Dr. Gaur Hari Singhania Institute of Management & Research (GHS-IMR) in Kanpur, J.K. Centre for Technician Training in Kanpur, the Regional Training Centre in Nimbahera, and the J.K. Industrial Training Centre in Kanpur. Furthermore, he has made substantial contributions and held key positions within various industrial forums and merchant chambers in the past.

Singhania, a thriving entrepreneur and visionary, played a pivotal role in introducing high-quality white cement to India and has made substantial contributions to the advancement of India’s cement industry for more than three decades.
