CAREER

In 1995, he initiated his career at The Coca‑Cola Company, undertaking diverse marketing positions in Spain and Global Strategic Marketing in Atlanta. He later assumed general management roles, serving as Marketing Director and General Manager for sparkling brands in the Iberia business unit from 2000 to 2004 and as General Manager for Spain and a bottling sales company from 2004 to 2006.

Prior to joining The Coca‑Cola Company, Arroyo spent two years in marketing at S.C. Johnson & Son and an additional two years in the Corporate Office Staff of the Chairman & CEO at Banco Santander in Madrid, Spain.

Arroyo is a board member of Coca‑Cola EuroPacific Partners and has held positions on the boards of Coca‑Cola Andina (Chile), ThainamThip Ltd (Thailand), and Coca‑Cola COFCO (China).

He oversees the five Global Category teams, Integrated Marketing Experience (IMX) encompassing Media, Digital Marketing, Design, Marketing Assets (Music, Sports, Entertainment, and Influencers), Human Insights, and Marketing Performance, as well as Marketing Operations & Capabilities and the Marketing Transformation Office.

Arroyo’s career has extended across Europe, the USA, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Mexico, where he has established and led high-performing, engaged, and diverse teams.

Arroyo assumed the role of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) in 2020. Prior to this, from 2019 to 2020, he held the position of President for the company’s Asia Pacific group, overseeing operations in the group’s five business units and leading the Bottling Investments Group, with a primary focus on key markets in Southeast and Southwest Asia. Earlier, Arroyo served as President of the company’s Mexico business unit from 2017 to 2019.

After leaving Coca‑Cola in 2014, Arroyo rejoined S.C. Johnson & Son as Senior Vice President & President of Asia Pacific. In the subsequent years, he served as the CEO of Deoleo, a publicly traded worldwide leader in branded olive oil, including the Bertolli brand, from 2015 to 2016.
