CAREER
Upon joining CBRE in July, Mr. Young will oversee the company’s global Corporate Development and Strategy teams. CBRE has strengthened its market position through a mix of organic growth and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in recent years. With $4.8 billion in liquidity at year-end 2022, the company is well-positioned for additional strategic advancements in M&A under Mr. Young’s leadership.
Mr. Young joined CBRE from Morgan Stanley, holding the position of Managing Director in the Real Estate Investment Banking Group. With a comprehensive 14-year tenure, he played a key role in $175 billion worth of strategic and capital transactions. Notable among these were M&A deals such as the sale of Industrial Properties Trust to Prologis and the sale of Fairmont Raffles Hotels International to Accor SA. His clientele spans public and private real estate investors, operators, service providers, and investment managers.
Having dedicated 13 years to the United States Marine Corps in both active duty and reserves, Mr. Young achieved the rank of Major and completed two combat tours in Fallujah, Iraq, from 2004 to 2006.
As a founding board member and treasurer of the Travis Manion Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering veterans and the families of fallen service members, he contributes to the development of the mind, body, and character of young individuals.
