PERSONAL INFORMATION
Aditya Lal was born on January 6th in Delhi. Hailing from New Delhi, India, Lal’s roots trace back to Pragpur, a picturesque town nestled in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. He comes from an illustrious lineage, being the prodigy and great-grandson of Rai Bahadur Justice Sir Jai Lal, a highly respected judge of the Lahore High Court during the pre-independence era. Notably, Rai Bahadur Justice Sir Jai Lal served as the Judicial advisor to the Maharaja of Patiala. In 1918, he constructed India’s first heritage country manor, The Judge’s Court, in Pragpur. Aditya, along with his parents and grandparents, proudly owns this 103-year-old architectural marvel, which embodies the essence of Anglo-Indian design.
EDUCATION
Having grown up in Delhi, Lal completed his education at Vasant Valley School before embarking on a journey to Loughborough University in England. There, he pursued his passion for both International Business and Dramatic Arts, earning a degree. During his undergraduate years, Lal discovered his talent for acting while participating in a staged play, where he earned the esteemed title of Best Actor in the East Midlands region.
CAREER
His versatile talent extends across various mediums, including theatre, advertisements, films, and digital web series. Lal gained prominence with his portrayal of Arun in ALTBalaji’s web series, Fittrat. However, it was his remarkable performance as a distinctive villain in the Indian crime thriller web series Asur, released in 2020, that truly garnered critical acclaim.
Aditya attributes his foray into acting to a persuasive friend who pushed him to participate in that pivotal staged play, revealing his true calling. Inspired, he returned to India and ventured to Mumbai, determined to pursue a career in Bollywood. Lal honed his skills by working at Mukesh Chhabra Casting Company for several years before finally landing two significant roles in 2018’s Fittrat and Asur.
In the web series Fittrat, released in 2019, Lal portrayed the character of Arun Aawasthy, the CEO of Daily News and a close friend of the lead actor. It was in 2020’s Asur, a thrilling web series, where Aditya Lal showcased his talent as an antagonist, pitted against acclaimed actors Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti. His impeccable voice modulation and seamless integration into the strong ensemble cast earned him well-deserved recognition and appreciation.
