Serial entrepreneur Anmol Singh Jaggi recently acquired a 2 percent stake in his electric mobility startup, BluSmart, from the Venture capital fund Mayfield. The transaction valued the company at approximately Rs 32 crore. Anmol Singh Jaggi, who serves as the CEO of the successful startup Gensol Engineering, valued at over Rs 1400 crore, is concurrently developing an affordable electric car that will directly compete with Tata Motors’ electric portfolio.
Jaggi has been working to disrupt the Ola and Uber duopoly in the cab-hailing market with BluSmart, founded in 2019. Instead of leasing their cars to Uber, the company now operates its own application, dispatching electric vehicles for cab services.
BluSmart is currently valued at Rs 2055 crore, having recently secured a funding of 42 million dollars. Notably, the Tata Tigor ranks as the second-best-selling electric vehicle in India, priced at Rs 12.49 lakh, while the Tata Tiago is available at Rs 8.69 lakh.
