Asha Bhat is an actress, model, and engineer from India. In 2014, she became the first Indian woman to be crowned “Miss Supranational.”

PERSONAL INFORMATION

On September 5, 1992, Asha Bhat was born in Bhadravati, Shimoga, Karnataka. Her sign is the Virgo.
Asha is a member of a Brahmin family from Kannada. She is the child of Shyamala and Subrahmanya Bhat. Her parents are also laboratory workers. She has a doctoral-educated older sister named Akshatha (Paediatrician).

EDUCATION

Asha Bhat was a student at Charles School in Bhadravati. She attended Prime Academy, a Pune-based IIT Jee coaching facility, and has strong academic credentials. She then signed up for Alva Pre-University College in Moodbidri to continue her pre-university studies. She was chosen to take part in the Republic Day’s Camp since she was a member of the college’s NCC squad. Asha was honoured at SAARC in 2009 and went to Sri Lanka as the NCC-Cadet ambassador of India at the age of 17. She received a lot of attention from this, and her parents encouraged her to take part in more competitions.
She later went to R. V. College of Engineering in Bengaluru to finish her electronic engineering degree. Bhat is a proficient dancer in Bharatnatyam.

CAREER

Asha Bhat began her modelling career in 2014 by competing in the Times Group’s “Miss Diva” pageant, where she finished as the second runner up. At Miss Diva 2014, she also took home three additional prizes: “Miss Congeniality,” “Miss Beautiful Smile,” and “Miss Fascinating.” Then, Bhat represented India at “Miss Supranational 2014” in Poland, where she ultimately won the pageant on December 5, 2014. She was named “Miss Supranational” for the first time ever by an Indian woman. At the contest, Asha also took home the title of “Miss Talented.”
She then went on to oversee the judging of other beauty contests, including “Miss Grand Thailand,” “Miss Golden Land Myanmar 2015,” “Miss Hungary 2015,” and “Miss China Landscape 2015.”
Numerous brands, including “Close-Up,” “Yamaha Motor Company,” “Femina,” and “Forever Mark,” have used her in their TV commercials.
She is not only a model, but she also works as a social activist for “The Astra Foundation,” a nonprofit organisation.
She made her acting debut in the 2019 Bollywood film “Junglee,” in which she portrayed the courageous journalist “Meera.”
