Ashesh received his primary education at R. A Podar College, Mumbai, completing his schooling in 1996 at the Junior College level. Continuing his educational journey, he enrolled in the Hosta Hotel And Tourism School in Leysin, Switzerland in 1998. There, he pursued his passion for the hospitality industry. With determination, he successfully obtained a diploma in hotel operations and management, specializing in hospitality administration and management, from the esteemed Hosta Hotel and Tourism School in Leysin, Switzerland.
CAREER
Upon completing Ashesh’s studies in Switzerland, he embarked on his professional journey as an MD at Hotel Jawel in Chembur, Mumbai, starting in 1999. His dedication and expertise led to significant achievements in the hospitality industry. In 2005, he assumed the role of director at Opa Hospitality Private Limited, a prominent company based in Mumbai. Notably, his brother, Anil Sajnani, served as the co-director within the same organization, fostering a strong familial bond in their professional endeavors.
In 2010, he ventured further by becoming a partner at Royal Western (India) Hotels Pvt. Ltd, located in Mumbai. For over two years, he contributed his knowledge and skills to the company before eventually departing in 2012. The entrepreneurial spirit within him drove him to establish ‘The Roll Company’ in collaboration with Juspreet Walia in 2014. Together, they introduced Mumbai’s first food truck, known as the ‘Bombay Food Truck,’ in 2015, delighting locals with delectable offerings.
Expanding his business ventures, Ashesh L Sajnani, along with his friends Abhayraj Singh Kohli and Juspreet Singh Walia, co-founded the popular bar named ‘Please Don’t Tell.’ The combined endeavors of the group led to the establishment of several additional cafes and restaurants, such as Via Bombay, Le Cafe, Eat Thai, Moksha Elevated Dining, and Astrix The Lounge.
Ashesh’s achievements and influence within the industry were recognized in 2016 when he graced the cover of Harper’s Bazaar India magazine, alongside Anuj Rakyan, signifying his prominence and success.
