SPIRITUALITY AND YOGA
Despite his rising fame in Bollywood, Bijay Anand decided to leave the film industry to pursue a path in spirituality. At the age of 26, he was diagnosed with arthritis, which led him to discover and embrace Kundalini Yoga. This profound experience transformed his life, and he became a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher through the Kundalini Research Institute in Los Angeles. Bijay has since dedicated himself to teaching yoga, conducting sessions, and organizing festivals both in India and internationally through his organization, Anahata. He is the CEO and Co-Founder of Anahata Retreats.
RETURN TO ACTING
After a 17-year hiatus, Bijay Anand returned to the acting world in 2016 with the mythological television show “Siya Ke Ram,” where he portrayed Janak. His comeback was driven by a desire to continue teaching and reaching out to people, whether in a yoga class or through his on-screen roles.
