Indravathi Chauhan is a playback singer from India who is most known for the fantastic songs she performs in Telugu movies. After singing the popular item song “Oo Antava Mava Oo Antava” for the film Pushpa: The Rise, she became an internet phenomenon (2021).
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Indravathi Chauhan was born in 2000 in Gooty, Andhra Pradesh’s district of Anantpur. She is from the Banjara tribe, which prefers to marry girls by the time they are 12 years old and expects them to give birth to sons. She comes from a very poor background and used to live in a house without bathrooms, so they had to take turns bathing at their neighbours’ homes.
Her parents are not well-known. She has two sisters, the older of whom, Satyavathi Rathod, a.k.a. Mangli, is a well-known playback singer and anchor in India. The Kannada translation of Indravti’s song “Oo Antava Mava Oo Antava” was performed by Mangli. Shiva is her brother as well.
Gor Boli, also known as Lambadi and renowned for having no writing, is the mother tongue of Indravathi Chauhan, who is a member of the Banjara community.

Indravathi Chauhan received her diploma from Sri Venkateswara College in Anantapur, although she has never had professional singing instruction.

CAREER
Despite not having a background in classical singing, Indravathi participated in a folk singers-focused programme hosted by her sister Mangali. Indravathi provided a video of her singing on the show as an audition clip when music director Devi Sri Prasad (commonly known as DSP) was looking for a new voice for the song “Oo Antava Mava Oo Antava”. She was chosen, and a vocal test was requested of her. She acquired the popular dance song “Oo Antava Mava Oo Antava” in 2021 in this manner.
Indravathi has also performed songs for George Reddy, including “Jaji Mogulali” (2019), “Gandhasiri Vanamali” (2021), “Mai Sadke Jaun,” and “Chhuwan” (2022). She additionally participated in the musical “Bol Baby Bol” as a member of the jury.
