K. Vidya, a former leader of the Students Federation of India (SFI), hailing from India, has been accused of providing a counterfeit experience certificate from Maraharja’s College, Ernakulam.

Additionally, she was also involved as an SFI activist at Maharaja’s College and Sanskrit University.

CAREER

According to her experience certificates, K. Vidya has held positions as an assistant professor on a contractual basis. From June 2018 to March 2019 and from June 2020 to March 2021, she worked at Maharaja College, Ernakulam. Additionally, she served as a guest faculty at Karinthalam College in Kasaragod from June 2022 to March 2023.

CONTROVERSY

FORGED EXPERIENCE CERTIFICATE

As per reports, Vidya presented counterfeit experience documents and certificates during her job interview for the position of guest lecturer at the Malayalam Department of RGM Government College in Attappady, Palakkad district, on June 2, 2023. On Wednesday, June 7, 2023, the issue came to public attention when the authorities of RGM College, suspecting the authenticity of the certificates, forwarded Vidya’s experience certificate to the principal of Maharaja’s College. It was discovered that she had previously utilized the same forged certificate while claiming to have worked at Karinthalam College in Kasaragod from June 2022 to March 2023. The case gained significant media coverage when another controversy arose involving PM Arsho, the State Secretary of the Students Federation of India (SFI). It was revealed that Arsho’s mark sheet indicated he had passed exams at Maharaja’s College without actually taking them.
