Podhuval began her career by first featuring in the Malayalam romantic drama film Vellakkuppayam which was directed and written by Ramees Nandi in 2014. After that, She made her debut in the Telugu Film Industry where she played the recurring role in the action drama film Rudra IPS in 2015-16.
In 2015, Keerthana got the opportunity to play the lead role in the Kannada romantic-drama film Anju Manju Love Story alongside Dilip Pai and the film was directed and written by Sunil Hubli. After gaining popularity, she again featured in a Kannada romantic-drama film Madhura Swapna alongside Arjun Kapikad, Ramakrishna, and Vinaya Prasad in 2016.
