Born on April 18, 1983, in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India, Rubika Liyaquat’s father is Amar Liyaquat and her mother, Late Fatma Liyaquat. She has a younger sister named Anjum Liyaquat. In April 2012, she married journalist Naved Qureshi. The couple resides in Noida and is blessed with a son and a daughter. Rubika enjoys traveling and singing, and she holds Indian nationality. EDUCATION
Having studied at St. Gregorius Senior Secondary School in Udaipur, Rubika made up her mind to pursue a career in journalism during her 11th grade. In pursuit of this aspiration, she joined the esteemed University of Mumbai and successfully earned her degree in Mass Media.
CAREER
Rubika Liyaquat pursued her journalism studies at the University of Mumbai. In 2003, she seized an opportunity to contribute to Channel 24, where she worked for a three-month duration. Following her graduation in 2005, she spent two years in search of employment. Eventually, in 2007, she received an offer from Live India, marking her acceptance of her inaugural job position.
Having served Channel 24 for a span of 14 months, she stepped down in September 2008. During the same year, Rubika secured a position at News24, where she held roles as both an anchor and a senior reporter. Subsequently, she transitioned to Zee News, gaining recognition for hosting the debate show “Taal Thok ke.”
In August 2018, Rubika departed from Zee News and embraced a role within the ABP News Network. At ABP News, she took the reins of the primetime show “Master Stroke,” airing from 9 pm every Monday to Friday.
