Luca Rossi joined Lenovo in 2015 and currently holds the position of Executive Vice President of Lenovo and President of the Intelligent Devices Group (IDG). In this capacity, he is responsible for overseeing Lenovo’s global operations in PCs, smartphones, tablets, workstations, software, and solutions in enterprise metaverse, cybersecurity, and smart collaboration.
Prior to his current role, Luca served as President of Lenovo’s Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), as well as Latin America, where he led the PC, smartphone, tablet, and server businesses.
Before joining Lenovo, Luca was the President of EMEA for Acer, where he also held various leadership positions, including overseeing the Packard Bell business, the consumer business, and the entire product business.
Earlier in his career, Luca held several roles with ASUS, eventually becoming the General Manager for ASUS Europe.
Rossi highlighted Lenovo’s efforts, in partnership with top chip manufacturers, to embed AI into all devices. This encompasses advancements such as sleeker, swifter computers with extended battery longevity, alongside software from major players like Microsoft and Adobe designed to harness these capabilities. Additionally, he foresaw AI’s transformative impact on mobile phones, envisioning the emergence of ‘AI PCs’ as a potential successor to conventional PCs
