EDUCATION

Nathan Karamchandani studied for AS levels in finance, sociology and product design from 2011 to 2012 at Franklin Sixth Form College in Grimsby, England, then from 2013 to 2015 at Ablerail Link Limited he completed a Level 2 Apprenticeship in railway and railway transportation. At the Defence School of Aeronautical Engineering, he pursued Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering Technology/Technician from 2017 to 2019, Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management in 2019 and Avionics Maintenance Technology/Technician from 2019 to 2020. At BAE Systems in the UK, he studied aerospace, aeronautical, and astronautical engineering in 2020 and heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration engineering technology/technician in 2020. At The Open University in Milton Keynes, England, he also studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering Foundation from 2021 to 2024.

CAREER

Nathan Karamchandani began working as a railway engineer with Ablerail Link Limited in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, England, in 2013, and remained employed there until 2015. His primary responsibility as a railway engineer was the construction and upkeep of rails. He began working as a shipping coordinator for DFDS in Immingham Dock, England, in 2015 and remained there through 2017. He joined the Royal Air Force (RAF) in 2017 and began performing aircraft repair. He worked for the company and was a member of the Royal Air Force Aerobatics Team (The Red Arrows). His responsibilities included servicing and maintaining the Hawk T1 and maintaining regular contact with the pilots to report any issues before and after flights. He was hired as an avionics technician in July 2019 and was responsible for doing maintenance and repairs on the Eurofighter Typhoon’s advanced electronic and avionic systems. The systems included navigation, aircraft defensive aids, weapon targeting and delivery systems, radar, communication and identification systems, image and data acquisition, including reconnaissance and target acquisition devices. Additionally, he used to be responsible for managing the electrical generating and distribution systems of the aircraft as well as the weapon management systems that let the pilots choose, arm, and discharge weapons. He was employed there till February 2023. He began working as an Electrical Technician in February 2023 for ENERCON in Lincolnshire, England, United Kingdom. His responsibilities in the organisation included performing maintenance and repairs on the turbines as directed, installing and retrofitting important electrical components, performing risk assessments and method statements as needed, writing thorough reports on the repairs and what was done once the work was finished, adhering to all pertinent health and safety requirements, and helping with mechanical maintenance as needed.
