PERSONAL INFORMATION
Late in the 1960s, Nyanika was born. She was born in Kolkata, but her family moved to Mumbai after her father was offered a job with the government there.
Nayanika is a member of a Kolkata-based Bengali Brahmin family. Nayanika was born in Britain, and her father is from Kashmir. Several years ago, her father passed away.
EDUCATION
Nayanika Chattejee attended school there and received her diploma. At the National Institute of Design, she studied ceramics. She went to Pondicherry as well and worked at a pottery studio there. After permanently relocating to Mumbai, she gradually began to obtain more and more assignments with better and better chances, and she eventually made the decision to pursue modelling as a full-time career.

CAREER
Nayanika Chattejee began modelling in 1988 and dominated the Indian fashion industry for three decades. She is credited with revolutionising the fashion industry and shattering the image of fair models while still succeeding. Despite the fact that it was undoubtedly not her final fashion presentation, she stopped doing fashion shows in 2008. “I just don’t want to do conventional runway [anymore],” she reportedly told Hindustan Times. I’ll make intermittent appearances for the designers I enjoy.
She is also frequently referred to as India’s Naomi Campbell. She is highly talented and favoured by renowned Indian fashion designers like Sabhyasachi and Tarun Tahiliani, among others.
A fashion choreographer first approached her about doing a show for The Trident, Oberoi Hotels after noticing her. Since her parents did not view modelling as a secure career, they refused to allow her to move to Paris. However, as a result of her pictures making headlines in newspapers, she began receiving shoots and shows on a regular basis. Pierre Cardin liked her so much in the show that he made her a job offer in Paris. She had had a role in the 2008 Bollywood flick Fashion.
