EDUCATION
Preeti Balwani started her legal education at ILS Law College Pune, where she earned her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree in 2004. She continued her studies and completed her Master of Laws (LLM) with a specialization in Maritime Law from the University of Southampton in 2005. She also holds a B.S.L.L.L.B degree from Savitribai Phule Pune University, which she obtained in 2004.
CAREER
Prior to her role at CRISIL Limited, Preeti gained extensive experience in legal roles across various industries. She served as the General Counsel & Board Member at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd in Bangalore from November 2019 to March 2023. Before that, she worked at The Kraft Heinz Company in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, where she held the position of Executive Director and later served as the General Counsel for India.
Her professional journey also includes roles such as Assistant Vice President – Legal at Welspun Group, Partner at Singhania & Partners LLP, and Partner at Khaitan Sud & Partners (KSP), where she specialized in Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Advisory. She has a strong background in legal matters related to corporate law.
