EDUCATION

Punit Tiwari attended Deshbandhu Vidyalaya Boys in Chittaranjan for his early education before embarking on a path of academic excellence. Tiwari pursued a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at Kuvempu University, Shimoga, Karnataka, from 2008 to 2011, laying the foundation for his technical prowess.

CAREER

Following this, he delved into the realm of journalism by completing a postgraduate diploma in TV Journalism at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, from 2012 to 2013. This academic pursuit equipped him with the skills required for effective storytelling through visual media. Further honing his communication skills, Tiwari earned a master’s degree in Mass Communication from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar, Haryana, in 2013-2014. This comprehensive education empowered him to engage with diverse forms of media and content creation.

Moreover, Tiwari recognized the importance of performance and enrolled in an acting course at the prestigious Madhya Pradesh School of Drama, Bhopal, from 2014 to 2016. This phase of his education not only refined his acting abilities but also provided him with invaluable insights into the world of theatrical arts. This amalgamation of technical proficiency, journalistic acumen, and theatrical finesse serves as the bedrock of Tiwari’s versatile career.

In the professional arena, Punit Tiwari’s journey took off in 2011 when he ventured into freelance writing, contributing content for the non-profit organization Room to Read in New Delhi. This early engagement with content creation laid the groundwork for his later success in storytelling. Additionally, Tiwari immersed himself in the world of theater, joining the Bahroop Arts Group in New Delhi, which primarily comprised students from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). This experience afforded him exposure to various facets of stagecraft and enriched his artistic repertoire.

Tiwar’s career trajectory further led him to become a part of the science content team at the Pratham Education Foundation in New Delhi in October 2013. This role showcased his proficiency in conveying complex scientific concepts to a broader audience. His association with esteemed theater directors such as Devendra Raj Ankur, Rita Ganguly, and others underscored his dedication to honing his craft.

Noteworthy milestones in Tiwari’s career include his appearance on Anjan TV in 2014, where he humorously portrayed political figures like Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal. Subsequently, he aligned himself with the Kala Mandali theater group in New Delhi in 2015, further cementing his presence in the theater circuit. Tiwari’s dedication to his craft culminated in significant achievements, such as being honored with the Shrilal Shukla Smriti IFFCO Sahitya Samman in 2017.

In subsequent years, his foray into film and television included roles in notable productions like Netflix’s crime drama film “Soni” (2018) and Prime Video’s web series “Laakhon Mein Ek” (2019). The culmination of his efforts led him to pivotal roles in acclaimed productions like “Chhatriwali” (2023) and the TVF’s web series “Sandeep Bhaiya,” where he portrayed the character of Prince Mishra.
