Educationally, Ranganath is an alumnus of B. M. S. College of Engineering, completing his undergraduate studies from 1989 to 1993. He further pursued an MBA in Sales and Marketing from Bangalore University in 1998. Additionally, he completed the HPE Mastery in Sales Management Program at Singapore Management University in 2016.

Ranganath’s professional journey showcases a wealth of experience and expertise. Currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise since December 2019, he has played a crucial role in shaping the technological landscape. His responsibilities include leading the technology strategy for the organization, contributing to its growth and innovation.
Prior to his current role, Ranganath served as the Director of Enterprise at IDC India from January 2018 to October 2019. In this capacity, he provided deep-dive insights, advisory content, and market research covering Enterprise Hardware, Software, and ITeS segments. Serving as a trusted advisor for CxOs in organizations, he assisted in overcoming challenges posed by the requisites of the Indian IT Industry.
Ranganath has also made significant contributions during his tenure as the Regional Sales Director – EMEA & APJ at Spectra Logic in 2017. Here, he played a pivotal role in delivering deep storage expertise and driving sales and solutions across the Asia-Pacific and Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions. His focus included providing affordable, multi-decade data storage and access solutions.
His extensive career includes a noteworthy stint as the Director of the Regional Product Management Team for HPE Storage for Asia Pacific and Japan at Hewlett Packard Enterprise India Sales Pvt. Limited from December 2000 to December 2016. Based out of Bangalore, Karnataka, India, he led the regional product management team and contributed to the company’s success in the storage domain.
Ranganath began his career at HCL Infosystems Ltd., where he held the position of Key Account Manager – Team Leader from 1995 to 2000. His journey in the technology sector commenced with his first job as an Account Executive at CADD Centre India Private Limited in 1994.
