Riya’s journey began when she participated in the FBB Femina Miss India Kolkata in 2014, where she made it to the top 13 finalists. She pursued English Honours from Bhawanipore College in Kolkata alongside her modeling career, with the unwavering support of her mother, who has been her source of motivation.

As a model, Riya has graced the runways of various fashion weeks, working with renowned designers such as Mumtaz Khan, Ritu Kumar, Sunit Verma, and others. Some of her notable appearances include Kolkata Design and Fashion Week, Kolkata Couture Fashion Week, Indian Lifestyle and Bridal Fashion Week, Volvo Coimbatore Fashion Week, and Pune Fashion 2 Week.

Her acting journey started with supporting roles in television serials, and she achieved her breakthrough role in 2020 with Colors TV’s show “Ishq Mein Marjawan 2.” Subsequently, she appeared in several TV shows, including “Nath,” “Agni Vayu,” and “Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Sey.” She also showcased her talent in episodic shows like “Pyaar Tune Kya Kya,” “Adaalat,” “Crime Petrol,” and “Emotional Atyachar.”

As an animal lover, Riya is actively involved in social work for dogs and cats and considers herself a pet mother. Her social media presence on Facebook and Instagram reflects her love for animals, often sharing pictures with her furry companions.
