CAREER
Rohed Khan made a striking debut alongside Kangana Ranaut in “Tejas” last year. He recently delivered another impressive performance in the action-packed film “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” (BMCM), which has already hit the theaters. In this film, Khan takes on the role of the villain, pitted against the dynamic duo of Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. According to sources, Khan’s portrayal in this film came about because the BMCM producers were impressed with his performance in “Tejas.”
Rohed Khan’s debut in “Tejas” alongside Kangana Ranaut last year was noteworthy, and he has continued to shine in his latest role in “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.” In this movie, Khan’s character engages in intense clashes with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, showcasing his exceptional action abilities. The film, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, features a star-studded cast including Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chhillar, and Alaya F.
Khan had previously expressed a desire to collaborate with Ali Abbas Zafar during the filming of “Tiger Zinda Hai.” BMCM has fulfilled this wish, with Khan delivering a performance that is expected to be remembered as a highlight of his career. The film’s action sequences, particularly those involving Khan, have been a major attraction for moviegoers.
In addition to “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,” Khan has several noteworthy projects in the pipeline. He appears in “Detective Sherdil,” directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, and is speculated to be in Ibrahim Ali Khan’s feature debut, “Sarzameen.”
Elated about his new role and the opportunity to work with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, Rohed Khan is particularly thrilled about his collaboration with Ali Abbas Zafar. The journey began in 2018 when Ali was shooting “Tiger Zinda Hai” in Austria, and Rohed had the chance to meet him.
Recalling this encounter, Rohed said, “I managed to track down the hotel where Salman sir was staying and, by some stroke of luck, I found myself face to face with him. I expressed my admiration for him and seized the chance to introduce myself to Ali sir.” On meeting Ali, the actor made a prediction. “I told him I am an actor and one day we will be working together. Ali sir’s smile was encouraging as he shook my hand before departing,” Rohed recalls, expressing that he couldn’t have imagined at that time that his words would come true so soon.
Rohed’s first opportunity to work with the filmmaker came with “Detective Sherdil,” a project produced by Ali. And now, he has successfully played the villain in Ali’s directorial BMCM. When Rohed crossed paths with Ali again, he reminded him of their encounter in Austria. “To my delight, Ali sir acknowledged it fondly. To think that I had manifested the opportunity to work with him in 2018, and by 2022, I was standing on set alongside him—it was a surreal experience,” he says.
With “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” already released and receiving positive feedback, Rohed Khan is quickly developing into a talented Bollywood actor to keep an eye on. He also has “Detective Sherdil” alongside Diljit Dosanjh in the pipeline and is reportedly a part of Ibrahim Ali Khan’s debut film “Sarzameen.”
