Rupali Barua’s late father was named Ambika Barua. She has a sister named Meghali B L, who works at Medica Superspecialty Hospital in Kolkata. At a young age, Rupali entered matrimony with Mitam Barooah, a doctor based in England, with whom she has a daughter. After her husband’s unfortunate passing, she relocated from England to India. EDUCATION
Rupali Barua completed her schooling at St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School in Guwahati before pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology at Cotton University. Furthering her education, she obtained a Master of Arts in Anthropology from Gauhati University.
CAREER
In 2010, Rupali, along with her first husband, embarked on a fashion venture and established a clothing retail company called Reel and Weave in Birmingham, United Kingdom. On 6 October 2014, the company was officially registered as a limited company. However, it was later dissolved on 8 November 2016. After returning to India from England, Rupali initiated a handloom clothing company called NAMEG Store in Kolkata. Additionally, she co-owns a café named Café Na-Ru-Meg, which derives its name from the initials of the three owners, in Kolkata.
