EDUCATION

Saakshi Verma Menon attended Delhi Public School for her schooling, pursued a Bachelor of Arts from Delhi University, and later obtained a Master of Administration from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR).

CAREER

Before her current role, she served as Marketing Director at Kimberly Clark for nearly three years. Prior to that, she held positions at Nicobar Design, Uber, The Coca Cola Company, and Colgate Palmolive.

A significant portion of her efforts has focused on reshaping the discourse on menstrual health, encouraging women to assert control over their periods and overcome any hindrances. The impactful ‘Own the Night’ campaign, alongside the introduction of the groundbreaking Kotex Overnight Period Panties last year, has revolutionized period management. Furthermore, the successful launch of the new Kotex ProHealth+ pads, complemented by the Ogilvy-designed #ChooseItAll campaign, has not only generated positive attention but has also heightened brand visibility, resulting in increased sales in the fiercely competitive feminine hygiene market.

Stepping up her efforts, Menon transformed the dialogue around menstrual hygiene with the impactful #Periodofchange campaign. At the Kila Raipur Olympics 2023, Kotex orchestrated a groundbreaking relay race where young female athletes exchanged an open sanitary pad instead of the conventional baton, sparking a disruptive conversation about periods in India. In her role with Huggies, Menon has emphasized Kimberly-Clark’s commitment to innovation. The relaunch of Huggies, featuring a new visual identity and the “We got you, baby” campaign narrated from the baby’s perspective, resonated with modern mothers. With the use of organic cotton and a digital film highlighting the brand’s dedication to baby skin health, Huggies Nature Care has steadily gained customer trust and contributed to overall growth.

Menon is dedicated to establishing platforms and opportunities that foster connection, growth, and meaningful change through circular solutions and social impact programs. With ‘Project Ghar,’ she tackles the pressing issue of plastic waste by collecting and recycling 22.5 metric tons of single-use and multi-layered plastic. The initiative aims to construct sustainable housing units for waste collectors in the Hubli-Dharwad coastal region of Karnataka, enhancing their quality of life in terms of health, well-being, and financial stability. Additionally, she leads the WIN (Women’s Inclusion Network) program as the executive sponsor at Kimberly-Clark India, focusing on bridging the mentorship gap for women.
