Sandra Tubobereni, who was born in May 1991, graduated from Madonna University with a BSC in Economics and an MBA in global financial services from Coventry University.
CAREER
Sandrah Tubobereni has always had a fashion background; growing up in Port Harcourt with a seamstress mother, she was able to begin her career of sewing and designing as a child, making her elementary school uniforms herself.
Sandrah began sewing school uniforms and day wear for her classmates while in secondary school, and she began making money from her love at an early age. TUBO entered the Nigerian fashion industry in 2014, after leaving a profession in finance and business development to follow her goal of being a fashion designer. In 2016, she debuted her business, Le Premiere by TUBO, with a Spring/Summer collection that emphasised eye-popping colours and structured designs.
The collection earned her both local and international exposure, as well as the opportunity to exhibit at Africa Fashion Week Nigeria in July 2016.
Tubobereni, who just won Fashion Designer of the Year at the ELOY Awards 2018, has created a slew of stunning looks for celebs such Rita Dominic, Adesua Etomi, Kemi ‘Lala’ Akindoju, and many more.
