Shanaya Katwe, also known as Sonia Katwe, was born in Hubli, Karnataka on Tuesday, December 26, 2000. Capricorn is her astrological sign.
Her mother raised her entirely on her own. Rakesh Katwe, her brother, was murdered in 2021.

CAREER
Shanaya Katwe competed in the Miss India Elegant beauty pageant in 2017, where she won several titles including Miss Photogenic, Miss National Glamour, Miss Popular, and Miss India Elegant North. She has modelled for ‘Kaalia International Modeling Agency’ in Bangalore.
She made her acting debut as Adithi in the Kannada film ‘Idam Premam Jeevanam’ in 2018.
She began working as a cabin crew member for SpiceJet Airlines, an Indian airline, on January 13, 2019. She co-starred with South Indian actor Ajay Raj in the Kannada film ‘Ondu Ghanteya Kathe’ in 2021.
Hubli Police arrested her on April 22, 2021, for her involvement in her brother’s brutal murder. Previously, four suspects were arrested in the case: Niyaz Ahmed Katigar (21), Tousif Channapur (21), Altaf Mulla (24), and Aman Giraniwale (19). Her brother was allegedly murdered in the same house where she lived, and the entire scene occurred while she was out promoting a film. Shanaya allegedly had an affair with one of the convicts, Niyaz Ahmed Katigar. Rakesh, Shanaya’s brother, was opposed to their relationship, so Niyaz Ahmed Katigar and Shanaya planned his murder. Rakesh’s body was dismembered and dumped in various locations throughout Hubli. His decapitated burnt head was discovered in the Devargudihal forest area, and the rest of his body parts were discovered on Gadag Road and other areas in Hubballi, Karnataka.
