CAREER
Later, he left his graduation in midway and began working as an Anchor for a local channel. After a few mothes, he left his job and switched to Mumbai to join an acting course. After completing his acting course, he returned to his hometown. He got small roles in a few television serials, but his big break was in the TV serial ‘Meera Madgava’ in 2014. He got immense popularity with the serial. He acted in the 2013 television serial ‘Lakshmi Baramma’. After that, he left the serial, and he was replaced by the actor Chandu Gowda. He participated as a singer in the television singing reality show ‘Star Singer’ in 2014. His mentor was the famous singer Vijay Prakash. He appeared in a few Kannada movies including ‘Asthiva’ (2016) and ‘Gvana Yajna’ (2018). In 2019, he began ‘ Gall Kitchen’, his own food business. He entered as a contestant in ‘Bigg Boss’ Kannada 7′ house on the 13 October 2019, hosted by Sudeep. Soon he became one of the favourite contestant of the show. His closeness with the co-contestant Deepika Das was also the spotlight of the show.
Reportedly, he was the only contestant in the Bigg Boss house to obtain the maximum number of ‘ Kicchana Chappale’ (applaud of appraisal). On the 2nd of February 2020, he defeated co- contestants Kuri Prathap and Vasuki Vaibhav and won the title of the ‘Bigg Boss’ Kannada 7.’ He won a trophy, a cheque of Rs. 50 lakhs and a Tata Altroz, which is prices at Rs 5.29 lakhs in India. He has won a few awards for his famous TV serials.
In 2022, Shine Shetty starrer film Kantara turned out to be one of the highest – grossing Kannada movies .
