Shivani Bafna is a YouTuber, entrepreneur, and Indian-American influencer. She was a TV host at Asian Variety Show TV, where she interviewed everyone from movie stars to major filmmakers. She also developed Behind Every Dream, a community in which people share and celebrate their success stories on her podcast. She describes herself as the second generation of the Indian American Bafna family, and her YouTube channel has over 174,000 subscribers and 3.33 crore views. She is also a TEDx speaker, and her lecture will be broadcast on January 21, 2021.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Shivani Bafna was born in Houston, Texas on Friday, January 5, 1996. She barely stayed for six months before moving to another city with her family.
She was infatuated with Bollywood as a child and aspired to be a Bollywood actor or a doctor. She enjoyed dancing and had learned to do so. She also worked as a dancing teacher when she was 15 years old.

Shamik and Shalini Bafna are her parents. Her father was born and raised in the United States and works in the residential industry. Shreyansh, her younger brother, is also present. She is the granddaughter of Kailash Bafna, who immigrated to the United States with only $7.5 from Gopalpur, India. He laid the groundwork for Shivani’s father, who was born in America as well.
Shivani met Shyam in college, and they became friends after being assigned to dance partners in their college Diwali programme. They finally married on December 25, 2021, in Mumbai. This was a big fat Indian wedding with all the Hindu ceremonies. They relocated to  the United States and settled there with Shyam’s parents. after their marriage.

EDUCATION

Shivani Bafna attended Solon High School in Solon, Ohio for her education. She then attended the University of Michigan’s College of Literature, Science, and the Arts to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Communication, and Media Studies.

CAREER

Shivani Bafna followed Miss Malini Publishing and saw that they were looking for interns in February 2014. She compiled her resume and sent it to the company’s email address, along with a few writing samples. She didn’t get an answer, so she tweeted the corporation and never heard back. She followed the link to the company page and discovered that the founder’s name is Malini Agarwal. She tried every possible combination using the domain name missmalini.com for Miss Malini Agarwal. She tried all of these combinations and wrote emails to all of them until her email was delivered and she received a response. Following that, in June 2014, she began her profession as a blogger at MissMalini Publishing Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, and worked here for nine months till February 2015.

As an intern, she was responsible for a variety of tasks such as covering press events, trailer launches, interviewing Bollywood superstars, and generating content for MissMalini’s blog. She covered an event with one of her favourite actors, Shah Rukh Khan, and snapped a selfie with him after being in this internship for several weeks.
During this time, she also shot for various fashion catalogues in Mumbai. She started working as a Social Media Marketing Intern at Everymedia Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Mumbai in July 2015 and finished her internship in November 2015. She began working as a Client Solutions Intern at Kepler Group in New York City in June 2016 and finished her internship in August 2016. She began working with FirstPerson in the Indianapolis, Indiana area in September 2016. She started as a Brand Marketing Intern at Whirlpool Corporation in May 2017 and worked there till August 2017. In June 2018, she considered joining AVS, the only media business in the United States that dealt with Bollywood. She began emailing the company but received no response. She looked over their website and made a list of all the team members. She emailed and tweeted them all, but received no answer. “I check up AVS TV’s boss on Facebook and I see that he is pretty good friends with this other man,” she stated in one of her videos about how she got into the company.  I am not going to say the names as it is a matter of privacy. So Shivani, 19 years old, decides, “Hey, if I’m not going into AVS TV, why don’t I apply for an internship at a friend’s PR firm?” Hopefully, I’ll do a good job and receive a nice referral, and then I’ll be able to work my way into AVS TV. I asked the acquaintance if he was looking for interns for his public relations firm, and he was for the New York Film Festival, which was only a two-week trip in the city.’
She succeeded well on this two-week project and received a favourable referral, which led to her employment at AVS TV. She began working at the New Jersey office, creating website content and other duties. The following summer, she accepted an internship with AVS TV Mumbai, where she began working for her summer internship. She performed three jobs at the time, and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., she worked at an advertising agency, making excuses to leave the office for AVS TV interviews. She was also modelling for auditions, which she would do at night. She returned to the United States following her internship. She applied for corporate internships in the United States this time. She began her career with the Kepler Group, an HR consulting firm in Indianapolis, and afterwards worked in brand management . She finally relocated to Mumbai in 2018 and began working as a Bollywood TV Show Host for AVS-Asia Variety Show, which proved to be a watershed moment in her career. On this show, she interviewed over 200 actors, filmmakers, influencers, and musicians for North America’s largest South Asian entertainment show. The show was also syndicated on Sony TV and drew a sizable worldwide audience. She hosted the show and interviewed several actors, including celebrities.
