CAREER
Shivleela learned kirtan from the start and began leading kirtans at the age of five because she spent her childhood watching her father lead kirtans in the home. As she turned ten, she still sang kirtans and had already done so both in urban and rural settings. As she worked toward her college degree, her enthusiasm in singing kirtan increased. Shivleela has performed more than 1,000 kirtans in numerous cities and states throughout the course of her more than 20 years of practise. Shivleela received an invitation to participate as a contestant in Bigg Boss Marathi Season 3 in September 2021.
Following her entry into Season 3 of Bigg Boss Marathi, Shivleela received abuse and trolls on social media. People claimed that she shouldn’t have taken part in the show. Shivleela was captured on camera speaking with Meenal Shah, another contender from the show, in a video from one of the episodes. Shivleela mentioned in this conversation that she was finding it difficult to adapt to the surroundings. Shivleela was later seen sobbing while holding Meenal.
She knew before she signed up for Bigg Boss that there would be fights and conflicts within the house, but she insisted that she would remain cool and use her presence to alter people’s perceptions.
Shivleela was put forward for eviction due to her lack of engagement in domestic duties and poor performance. She has made the decision to become more involved in the house going forward in order to keep her standing in the competition.
