Suresh Vishwakarma, a renowned Indian actor in Marathi cinema, gained significant recognition for his portrayal of Tatya in the blockbuster Marathi movie “Sairat.”

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Growing up, Suresh’s father worked as a watchman, and he spent his childhood near the factory where his father was employed. During this time, Suresh actively participated in various Marathi folk dramas, playing lead characters in many performances.

CAREER

Suresh Vishwakarma moved to Mumbai with the aspiration of finding opportunities in the film industry. He initially appeared in numerous stage shows and also worked as an assistant art director for the Hindi movie “Ankahee” in 2006. Prior to that, he had made an appearance in the Marathi film “Pratidav” in 1999. Throughout his career, Suresh has been a part of several movies, including “Mahima Khandobacha” (2008), “Gallit Gondhal, Dillit Mujra” (2009), “Rege” (2013), and “Fandry” (2013).

However, it was his negative role in Nagraj Manjule’s “Sairat” in 2016 that propelled him to widespread fame. Additionally, Suresh Vishwakarma was involved in Gajendra Ahire’s internationally acclaimed film “The Silence,” which garnered recognition at various national and international film festivals in 2015. The movie received a theatrical release in India in October 2017.

Suresh Vishwakarma’s association with the Marathi drama “Tula Pan Bashing Bhandhaychay,” directed by Bhanudas Vyavahare, further showcases his talent and dedication. In 2020, he appeared in the film “Ibhrat,” directed by Pravin R Kshirsagar, adding to his diverse body of work.
