Teena originally hails from Ludhiana, Punjab, and was born on April 10th, 1994 into a Sikh family. Her sister, Sneha Singh, is also an actress and model. After completing her early education at boarding schools in Ambala, Shimla, and Dalhousie, Teena moved to Mumbai, Maharashtra, where she currently resides. Despite coming from a conservative family, Teena was sent to boarding school at the age of 8. After finishing school, she worked as a PR for an event management company in Delhi, which led her to go to Goa for two months. She loved it so much that she quit her job and became a bartender there for a year.

However, it was her Nescafe advertisement in 2017 that brought her significant popularity, earning her the nickname “Nescafe Girl.”
Teena made her Bollywood debut in 2016 with the film Akira, in which she starred alongside Sonakshi Sinha and Anurag Kashyap. She has also appeared in short films such as Raw Days, as well as web series such as Love Bites, Bar Code, Sense8, Hankaar, and 13 Mussoorie.
