CAREER
Tiago Forte, founder of Forte Labs, has collaborated with various organizations such as Genentech, Toyota Motor Corporation, and the Inter-American Development Bank. His contributions have been highlighted in the New York Times, The Atlantic, Harvard Business Review, and other publications. Additionally, he has experience as a course designer for Skillshare.com, an instructor-in-residence for Startup Advisor, and has served in roles as a project manager and teacher.
While employed at a San Francisco consulting firm in 2013, Tiago discovered “Getting Things Done” by David Allen, a book on stress-free productivity. Overwhelmed by the demands of his job, he initiated a book club, which evolved into a workshop. Encouraged by a coworker, Tiago transformed the workshop into an online course, “Get Stuff Done Like A Boss.” Later, he developed the initial version of “Building A Second Brain,” turning it into a successful cohort-based course with the support of friends and former colleagues three years later.
In 2019, Tiago joined forces with David Perell to establish Forte Academy, an online education platform providing cohort-based courses and live workshops. The courses aim to empower knowledge workers with technology-driven productivity enhancements. Driven by his passion for personal effectiveness, Tiago initiated a blog and collaborated with brands like Toyota and Nestle. Forte Academy presently offers courses like “Building A Second Brain” and “Write of Passage,” taught by David Perell.
In April 2020, Tiago secured a substantial book deal with Simon & Schuster for his forthcoming book, “Building A Second Brain.” His objective is to enhance the accessibility of his methodology, aspiring for its adoption by schools, government agencies, and companies globally. Anticipate the release of audiobook, ebook, and softcover versions, available in bookstores and online retailers.
