Satish Kaushik, Vanshika’s father, was a well-known Indian actor, director, screenwriter, comedian, and producer. Satish died on March 9, 2023, at the age of 66, after suffering a heart attack on his way to the Fortis Hospital in Gurugram, Haryana. Shashi Kaushik is Vanshika’s mother who is a film producer. Shanu Kaushik, Vanshika’s younger brother, died in 1996 at the age of two.

Satish revealed in an interview that the sudden death of his son Shanu Kaushik had devastated him. Vanshika was born through surrogacy sixteen years after his son died. Satish talked about how her daughter Vanshika changed his life and said, I avoid going to parties now, I have become calmer. She has even influenced my diet and drinking habits. I lost my son when I was at the pinnacle of my career 20 years ago. I couldn’t even take the time to mourn that loss. Vanshika’s aane ke aane se sab baraabar ho gaya. Vanshika’s arrival has settled all of the unresolved emotions.”
Satish celebrated Holi with his friends in New Delhi on March 8, 2023. Satish complained of discomfort and uneasiness early on March 9th, and while on his way to the Fortis Hospital in Gurugram, he suffered a heart attack and died. Vanshika shared a throwback photo of her father on her Instagram handle on March 9, 2023, following her father’s death.
