Following his school years, he relocated to his birthplace, Delhi, to pursue a degree in Mass Communication. Varun holds a Master’s, M.Phil, and Ph.D. in Mass Communication.
CAREER
While studying in Delhi, Varun explored the Himalayas during his free time, nurturing his growing passion for travel. Balancing his studies, he took on jobs to cover expenses, and in 2004, he embarked on his first job with Navbharat Times.
While employed, Varun discovered he could satisfy his wanderlust without breaking the bank. Starting with travels in India, he later broadened his adventures internationally. Driven by his love for exploration, he started producing and sharing travel content on YouTube. As his fan base grew, Varun transitioned into a full-time travel blogger.
Operating his YouTube travel blog named “Mountain Trekkar,” Varun has been actively involved in travel blogging since 2004. After 15 years in the field, he was invited to deliver a TEDx speech.
Prior to becoming a Travel Blogger, Varun worked as a journalist. Following his Mass Communication studies, he spent a few years working for Navbharat Times.
