Emma Giamartino

Emma Giamartino is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at CBRE, a position she has held since July 2021. In this role, she is responsible for financial management and strategic decision-making within the organization. Prior to her current role, she served as the Chief Investment Officer at CBRE for seven months, from January 2021 to July 2021.

EDUCATION

In terms of education, Emma holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Electrical Engineering from Duke University, where she graduated in 2005. Later, she pursued her Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance at Columbia Business School, completing her degree in 2011.

CAREER

Before joining CBRE, Emma Giamartino held the position of EVP, Global Head of Corporate Development at the company from May 2020 to January 2021. In this role, she was involved in corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, and investments. Her professional journey also includes a period as the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Corporate Development and Head of Americas M&A at CBRE, where she served for two years and four months, from February 2018 to May 2020.

Aside from her roles at CBRE, Emma has been active as a Board Member for various organizations. She is currently a Board Member at Industrious since March 2021 and a Board Member at CBRE Acquisition Holdings from December 2020 to December 2021.

Emma Giamartino also gained valuable experience during her tenure at Verizon, where she served as the Director of Corporate Development from 2015 to 2018. Prior to Verizon, she held the position of Vice President in TMT Investment Banking at Nomura for five years, from 2010 to 2015, in New York, New York. Earlier in her career, she worked as an Associate at Assured Guaranty for four years, from 2005 to 2009, in New York, New York.
