PERSONAL INFORMATION

Mayur Ranjan Hazaria hails from Assam, India. His father, Krishna Hazaria, holds the position of an executive engineer at PWD. While his mother’s name is unknown, Mayur remains unmarried. He is an Indian citizen and takes pleasure in playing and watching football, as well as solving Rubik’s Cube puzzles.

EDUCATION

Mayur Ranjan Hazaria completed his schooling at Don Bosco High School in Tezpur and Ramanujan Junior College in Nagaon. He pursued his MBBS degree from Guwahati Medical College and Hospital in Assam, graduating between 2015 and 2019.

CAREER

In May 2021, Mayur embarked on a significant journey as he joined the National Mission in Assam, assuming the role of a medical officer. He shouldered the responsibility of managing the COVID-19 pandemic in India. In his pursuit of the UPSC 2022 examination, he enrolled in online classes and dedicated himself to self-study. Anthropology became his chosen optional subject for the exam. Mayur aspires to inspire more students from Assam to participate in the civil service examination and achieve success.

Following his remarkable achievement of securing the 5th rank in the UPSC, Mayur expressed his inclination towards the Indian Foreign Services during an interview. On the very same day, he received recognition and felicitation from MLA Rupak Sarmah in the Nagaon district of Assam.
