Scott Russell is currently an Executive Board Member, Customer Success at SAP, a position he has held since February 2021. In this role, he leads the global Customer Success organization, overseeing sales, services, partners, and customer engagement on a global scale. His approach is centered around customer success as the guiding principle, driven by purpose.
EDUCATION
Scott Russell’s educational background includes a Graduate Diploma in Business/Commerce, General, from Deakin University, obtained between February 1998 and November 2001. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) with a focus on Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services from Federation University Australia, completed between January 1991 and November 1994.
CAREER
Prior to his current position, Scott Russell served as President Asia Pacific Japan at SAP from July 2017 to February 2021. In this role, he was responsible for leading SAP’s business across the Asia and Pacific region, excluding Greater China. Before that, he held the position of President and Managing Director Southeast Asia at SAP, where he oversaw all aspects of SAP’s business in Southeast Asia.
Scott’s professional journey also includes a significant tenure at IBM, where he served as a Partner for 11 years, from 1999 to April 2010. Additionally, he worked as a Managing Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers for two years from 1999 to 2001.
In his most recent venture, Scott Russell has taken on the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors at Taulia since October 2023. Taulia is a company where he contributes to guiding the organization through his position on the board.
With over 13 years of experience at SAP, coupled with his previous roles at IBM and PwC, Scott Russell brings a wealth of expertise to the technology and business sectors. His leadership roles and diverse experiences have contributed to shaping his strategic approach to customer success and organizational growth.
