Following her schooling, she pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Life Sciences from Miranda House College, Delhi University. Presently, she is enrolled in Delhi University, where she is actively working towards earning a degree in Law.

CAREER

Inspired by her father’s selfless service to society, Smriti embarked on her journey to become an IAS officer. Her determination to pursue this path manifested early on when she began preparing for the civil services examination during her 10th-grade studies. Demonstrating her academic prowess, she achieved an outstanding score of 96.6% in her class 12 examination.

After completing her 12th grade, Smriti, accompanied by her brother, relocated to Delhi to pursue higher studies. They rented a residence in sector 41 as they embarked on this new chapter of their educational journey. Alongside her pursuit of knowledge, Smriti also appeared for the final semester examinations of her law courses in 2023.

Smriti’s resilience and perseverance shone through when she achieved a remarkable feat in her third attempt at the civil services examination. Despite facing challenges during her second attempt, where she was unable to clear the preliminary stage, she refused to be discouraged. Instead, she intensified her focus and redoubled her efforts, ultimately reaping the rewards of her dedication by securing an impressive All-India Rank 4 in the examination.

ABOUT

During an interview, Smriti Mishra disclosed her diligent study routine and preparation strategy for the civil services examination. She emphasized the importance of consistency and shared that she dedicated approximately eight hours each day to her studies. To enhance her learning process, Smriti diligently made daily notes, aiding her in retaining and organizing key information effectively.

In the UPSC exam, Smriti opted for Zoology as her optional subject. This decision showcased her interest and expertise in the field, allowing her to delve deeper into the subject matter during her exam preparations. By selecting a subject that resonated with her, Smriti maximized her chances of performing well in that particular domain.
