Sonia Gehlot is renowned as the daughter of Ashok Gehlot, the 14th Chief Minister of Rajasthan, who is a prominent Congress politician. It is worth noting that Sonia Gehlot is happily married to Gautam Ankhad, a lawyer, since 2001. The couple has been blessed with a son and a daughter.

Sonia Gehlot completed her formal education in Pune and Mumbai, specializing in architecture.
CAREER
After her higher studies, Sonia Gehlot commenced her professional journey as an architect at Kalpataru Group, a construction company based in Mumbai. In 2006, she transitioned to Shouri Constructions, a sister company of Kalpataru Group, where she swiftly rose through the ranks and became the company’s director within the same year. Eventually, Sonia Gehlot departed from Shouri Constructions to establish her own interior designing firm called Architecture & Beyond.
In 2011, Sonia Gehlot and her husband, Gautam Ankhad, faced allegations from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The BJP claimed that through their connections within the Rajasthan government, Sonia and Gautam assisted Kalpataru Group in securing various contracts in the state. Furthermore, the party alleged that the couple was rewarded with a luxurious flat worth Rs 8 crore in Mumbai for their involvement. However, Ashok Gehlot refuted all these accusations, asserting that they were baseless and deliberately orchestrated by the opposition and certain media outlets to tarnish the reputation of his family.
In response, the Kalpataru Group defended itself by stating that Sonia received the flat as compensation for her services as an architect who had worked for the company.
