Utsav Sarkar is an Indian actor, screenwriter, producer, director, editor, and storyteller who specialises in creating content for Hindi web series and YouTube videos.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

On February 4th, Utsav Sarkar was born in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. He is an Aquarius by birth sign.
The family that he comes from is Bengali.
Prasenjit is Utsav’s father, and Malini Mukherjee Sarkar is his mother. The parents of Utsav are estranged.
Aakansha Sarkar is his younger sister.
Samrat Sarkar, Utsav’s older brother, was a Regional Growth Manager for Smallcase.

EDUCATION

In Panchgani, Maharashtra, Utsav attended a boarding school for his education. He graduated from Vile Parle, Mumbai’s Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Arts, Science, and Commerce with a Bachelor of Mass Communication degree (2012-2015). He pursued his Master of Performing Arts degree at the Academy of Theatre Arts, the University of Mumbai in Mumbai .

CAREER

Utsav has a passion for theatre acting ever since he was in school. He began participating in school plays and theatre contests. Utsav performed in various plays while attending college, including The Glass Menagerie, Baanjh, Khariya Ka Ghera, The Two of Us, A Doll’s House, and Dhik Tam.
The Two of Us, a play in which Utsav Sarkar performed the part of Nikhil, had its YouTube premiere in January 2022.
Utsav worked as a scriptwriter for several Mumbai production studios after completing his post-graduation. Utsav began working as an associate scriptwriter at Happi Digital in Mumbai in December 2019 and stayed there for three months. He worked as an associate scriptwriter for Prakash Jha Productions Private Limited in Mumbai for about four months starting in February 2020. Later, he moved to Mumbai to work as a creative producer and scriptwriter for BuddyBits. He performed authorised writing duties at Third Bell Productionz in Mumbai in December 2020.
Utsav starred as Nawab Malik in the Hindi short film My Last Vlog, which he also directed, produced, wrote, and edited, in December 2021.
Utsav portrayed the part of Bunty in the Bollywood movie Janhit Mein Jaari in June 2022. He also served as the movie’s associate writer.
