CAREER

In her current role, Ina Saltz serves as the Chair of the Art Department at CCNY. With over 22 years of experience, she held the position of Editorial Design Director at Time Magazine’s International Editions, Worth, Golf Magazine, and various others.

Ina Saltz is a member of the design faculty at the Stanford Professional Publishing Course, where she has also conducted typography classes via webcast. Renowned for her expertise, she often delivers lectures on magazine design and typography, with recent appearances in Moscow, Toronto, Atlanta, Denver, New York City, Calgary, and Amsterdam. Additionally, Ina has authored over 50 articles for leading design journals.

Ina Saltz has penned multiple books, including “BODY TYPE: Intimate Messages Etched in Flesh” (Abrams, 2006), “BODY TYPE 2: More Typographic Tattoos” (Abrams, 2010), “TYPOGRAPHY ESSENTIALS: 100 Design Principles for Working With Type” (Rockport, 2009). Additionally, she co-authored “TYPOGRAPHY REFERENCED: A Comprehensive Visual Guide to the Language, History, and Practice of Typography” (Rockport, 2012).

Ina Saltz specializes in typography and editorial publication design. Her extensive contributions include over fifty articles on design and typography, collaborative work on five books with Steven Heller, and the authorship of fifteen essays for Phaidon’s Archive of Graphic Design
