CAREER
At the age of 20 in 1973, she debuted with the novel “Bilde av et menneske” (Picture of a Man). Blom has gone on to author numerous novels, poetry collections, short stories, and children’s books, which encompass non-fiction works about animals and nature in the Polar Series.
During her tenure as a board member from 1990 to 1996, Kirsti Blom spearheaded the foreign affairs efforts at the Norwegian Writers’ Association. Additionally, she served as a board member of Norwegian PEN from 1994 to 2003, holding the position of deputy chairman in her final year.
