Hicham Jaddoud, holding a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA), is a dynamic figure with a profound impact on the realms of hospitality and education. Currently serving as the Director of Hospitality & Gaming Operations at PENN Entertainment, Inc, he is stationed in the vibrant city of Denver, Colorado. In this pivotal role, he is entrusted with the comprehensive responsibility of overseeing the operational, financial, and strategic aspects of the hospitality department. His purview extends to non-gaming operations, which encompass the management of diverse facets such as food and beverage outlets, catering services, an esteemed AAA 4-diamond hotel, and a full-service spa. Moreover, Hicham supervises a 458,000 square foot resort, which includes an array of entertainment options, such as 940 slot machines, 38 gaming tables, a poker room, and a 20,000 square foot conference center.

EDUCATION

Hicham’s academic pursuit has been equally impressive, with a Doctor of Business Administration from Georgia State University, a Master of Business Administration from Lindenwood University, and additional educational experiences at Cornell University, UniversitĂ© CĂ´te d’Azur, UPVD Alumni, and Vatel France. His doctoral research focused on the role of reflection in predicting employee stress coping and withdrawal behavior in the hospitality industry and has been published in the Journal of Hospitality.

CAREER

In addition to his role at PENN Entertainment, Hicham is deeply committed to the world of academia. As an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Southern California, he imparts knowledge to aspiring minds in the Master of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Graduate Program. His courses, which encompass topics like Revenue Management for Hospitality & Tourism and Financial Management in Hospitality & Tourism, equip students with essential skills for the industry. This academic journey has been a part of his professional life since July 2020, and he continues to guide the future generation of hospitality professionals.

Hicham’s influence extends even further as a Hospitality Courses Facilitator at Cornell University. In this capacity, he has been actively involved since March 2020, contributing to the education of future hospitality leaders. His responsibilities include overseeing programs related to Hotel Asset Management, Revenue Management, Price Optimization and Inventory Control, and Valuing Hospitality Intellectual Property and Capital Stack. Hicham also plays a crucial role as the Host and Presenter of the Cornell’s Virtual Hospitality Symposium, fostering dialogue and innovation in the field.

Prior to his current roles, Hicham’s journey in the world of hospitality and gaming has seen him excel in various positions, from being the Senior Director of Hospitality Operations at North Star Mohican Casino to serving as the Hotel General Manager at del Lago Resort & Casino. His vast experience spans roles in prominent organizations like Marriott Hotels, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Wind Creek Hospitality, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Lumiere Place Hotels & Casino, and Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, showcasing his enduring commitment to the industry.
