Pooja Shetty, a renowned Indian film producer and businesswoman, holds the position of managing director at Mumbai’s ‘Adlabs Imagica’ theme park.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Born in Mumbai in 1979. She comes from a Hindu family and belongs to the Tuluva Bunt community. Her father, Manmohan Shetty, is a respected Indian film producer, and her mother’s name is Shashi Kala Shetty. Pooja Shetty has a younger sister named Aarthi Shetty, who is also a producer.

During her college years, Pooja Shetty crossed paths with Milind Deora, an Indian politician affiliated with the Congress Party. After dating for nearly three years, the couple tied the knot on November 9, 2008. In 2018, Pooja Shetty became a mother through surrogacy, welcoming a baby girl into her life.

EDUCATION

Pooja Shetty received her education at Maneckji Cooper School in Mumbai before pursuing a management degree at Purdue University in America.

CAREER

Pooja Shetty has established herself as a prominent Indian businesswoman, actively managing various ventures alongside her father. Notably, she serves as the managing director of Mumbai’s Adlabs Imagica, a popular theme park. Additionally, she is the owner of ‘Walkwater Media,’ a film production company, and has produced notable Bollywood films such as “Tere Bin Laden” (2010), “Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive” (2016), and “Zoya Factor” (2019). She has also ventured into television production, with the popular TV serial “Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya” (2009) being produced under her banner.

Pooja Shetty’s contributions extend beyond the entertainment industry. She has played a pivotal role in establishing India’s first IMAX dome theatre in Mumbai and a multiplex featuring four screens. Her passion for business and her accomplishments have earned her a well-deserved reputation in India.
